WHY CONSIDER IT
Cold’s elemental damage and resistance role makes this useful when those bonuses suit the gear you plan to socket.
When it fits: Use Duran when you have two Discolored Cold Embers, or four Dull ones, and want the next tier.
The tradeoff: Transmutation requires matching Cold Embers and yields one higher tier; save them if you need the lower tier’s listed uses.
